Nurse Externships
When becoming a nurse, gaining clinical experience outside of the classroom is important. For this experience, you can participate in a nursing externship that places you in medical settings with actual patients. This helps enhance your skills and knowledge while you earn your certification or degree.
Pardee is offering Nurse Externships in both Surgical Services and Home Health. The Nurse Externship is a 6-month training program for current nursing students. Students must be able to work 8 hours minimum per week and 20 hours during school breaks.
In Home Health, nurse externs will be learning the role of case management in a home health setting. Operating room nurse externs will be trained in surgical scrub and circulator roles. Both programs consist of didactic and clinical education.
