There are many reasons you may delay your regular screening – a busy schedule, concern about pain, or you don’t think you’re at risk for breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Getting an annual mammogram at the right time could save your life.

That’s why Pardee is making it easier for women to have access to an annual mammogram. We have made it a priority to ensure patients are seen, tested, and diagnosed within days at Pardee’s breast center.

Now, we can provide our full-service care at locations and times that are even more convenient for you. And, with new technology, mammograms are more comfortable and accurate than ever.

Mobile Mammography

Pardee is pleased to introduce Mammo on the Go, a Department of Pardee Hospital, a mobile mammography unit offering the same state-of-the-art, digital 3D breast imaging that is available at the breast center. The best part is that you never have to sacrifice time, quality, or our full-service care.

Breast Screening Technology

3D Mammography

Pardee’s 3D technology means two important things: more accuracy and less anxiety. Mammograms use low-dose X-rays to create detailed images that check for masses and abnormalities to help identify breast cancer at the earliest possible stage. Our 3D mammography equipment is the only type that is FDA-approved as superior to standard 2D mammography, and it can detect 41% more invasive breast cancers and reduce false positives by up to 40%. This technology is available on-site at our breast center as well as Mammo on the Go.

Ultrasound Technology for Dense Breasts

Approximately 40% of women are identified as having dense breasts, and women with breast density are four to six times more likely to develop breast cancer. For women with dense breasts, our Invenia ABUS 2.0 Automated Breast Ultrasound Screening equipment can improve detection of breast cancer by more than 37 percent when used in addition to mammography. Through 3D ultrasound technology, ABUS quickly and comfortably screens the entire breast in about 15 minutes.

SmartCurve System

Fear of pain prevents many women from making an annual screening a priority. Using our Smart Curve System, Pardee delivers a more comfortable mammogram experience. These paddles provide a curved compression surface that provide more comfort during compression without compromising image quality.
