Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Services
When you become part of Volunteer Services at UNC Health Pardee, you are giving back to your community through selfless service while providing support, encouragement and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
Pardee offers three types of service opportunities:
- Patient Facing: Working directly with patients in patient care areas by completing volunteer rounds, providing patient care items, etc.
- Support Services: Working with patients, visitors, and staff by assisting with tasks such as transport, wayfinding, and answering questions.
- Staff Support: Working directly with staff in various departments and medical facilities to provide professional support for office staff.
By volunteering at Pardee, you can
- Meet others who have a passion for service and their community
- Explore multiple facets of the healthcare field from behind-the-scenes to bolster career planning
- Receive service hours and a letter of recommendation for school service requirements
- Receive recognition for service through gatherings and events
- Stay up to date on organizational and program updates through the volunteer newsletter
- Receive a free flu shot (for volunteers 18 and older)
