Nursing Quality Indicators
At Pardee Hospital, we are committed to hiring and retaining nurses who uphold our high standards of care. To ensure we meet these high standards, we use the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), which was established in 1998 by the American Nurses Association.
This database helps us:
-
Ensure we have the proper number of nurses to care for our patients
-
Develop quality and safety standards related to nursing care
-
Compare our standards to hospitals of a similar size
-
Compare data on the presence of hospital-acquired conditions (such as pressure ulcers, central line infections, ventilator infections and urinary tract infections) as well as the use of restraints
