UNC Health Pardee Welcomes Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician Dr. Erika Cappelluti
UNC Health Pardee is pleased to announce the addition of Erika Cappelluti, MD, PhD, a distinguished specialist in pulmonary and critical care with a focus on integrative medicine, to Carolina Lung and Sleep at Pardee. Dr. Cappelluti brings a wealth of expertise to Pardee, where she will offer advanced care for patients with pulmonary conditions and critical illnesses including chronic cough, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and provide integrative and holistic approaches to all lung conditions, in combination with conventional therapies.
Dr. Cappelluti said she chose Pardee because the mission and vision of the organization are in alignment with her core values. She is inspired by the dedication and compassion of her fellow clinicians and administrative staff who are committed to providing exemplary care for those in the communities Pardee serves. Dr. Cappelluti finds her greatest fulfillment as a physician in empowering patients to make healthy changes in their lives. She is always open to exploring integrative, holistic care plan options with her patients, ensuring that their needs and preferences remain the focal point of every encounter. “Together, we establish a partnership that creates space for education and provides tools that empower and equip each person to make mindful choices fully in alignment with their health and well-being goals,” she said. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Cappelluti enjoys running, drawing, making jewelry and cooking.
