Medically Necessary Devices:
Pardee is operating a medical shelter at Hendersonville High School to support those in the community with medically necessary devices. The shelter is available for individuals who need to recharge their medical devices.
At this time, Pardee is not refilling oxygen tanks. The Mills River Fire Department and the Mountain Home Fire Department are assisting those who need oxygen refills.
We are thankful for all our teammates and partners who have made this medical shelter possible to help our community in this great time of need.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1
Pardee Cancer Center
Pardee Cancer Center will partially resume operations tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 2. The cancer center will be open from 9am-5pm, seeing patients:
- Who had a previously scheduled infusion or lab appointment
- Who have previously scheduled breast clinic appointments
- Breast surgery patients with issues related to their treatment
- Active cancer patients who need acute care services due to conditions related to their treatment
Patients can call (828) 694-4300 to make an acute care appointment. Pardee Cancer Center is working to reschedule clinic visits with our doctors as well as radiation oncology treatments at this time. We hope to resume visits with providers this week.

We are pleased to report that we continue to stably care for our community with power and resources. We are grateful to UNC Health and local and state emergency management partners for the resources they are providing.
Pardee is here for your immediate medical needs. The hospital and emergency department are open 24/7 for emergent medical care.
As a reminder, all Pardee outpatient clinics are closed and appointments are canceled, including for elective surgeries and routine imaging. If you are in need of resources:
- There are emergency shelters at The Henderson County Athletics & Activity Center and WNC Agricultural Center.
- Six resource hubs for water and other supplies are opening today at noon at Etowah Elementary, Rugby Middle, East Henderson High School, North Henderson High School, Mills River Town Hall, and Fletcher Town Hall.
- We encourage our community to share resources during this difficult time.

Closings + Cancellations
All outpatient clinics, including Pardee BlueMD, specialists, and Pardee Urgent Care, are closed tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 30, and appointments are canceled. All elective surgeries and routine imaging appointments are also canceled.

Virtual Care
UNC Health Virtual Care is now available free of charge. Adult residents (ages 18+) of WNC can see a UNC Health primary care provider for mild symptoms without an appointment. Virtual services are available 6am–10pm, 7 days a week. Click here to get started.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Due to inclement weather and worsening road conditions throughout the region, all UNC Health Pardee outpatient clinics including Pardee BlueMD and specialist locations will close at 12pm on Thursday, Sept. 26, and be closed on Friday, Sept. 27. All practices will contact patients to cancel and reschedule appointments.
Pardee Urgent Care locations will also close at 12pm on Thursday, Sept. 26.
As a reminder, Pardee Hospital and the Emergency Department remain open 24 hours/day.
