Alex Benson, PA-C joins Pardee Bariatrics and General Surgery 

UNC Health Pardee is pleased to welcome Alex Benson, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant, to the Pardee Bariatrics and General Surgery team.  Benson is passionate about her patients and believes in putting their needs first by walking them through every step of their care journey.

Benson said she is excited to be a part of the Pardee community and that it is important to her each patient feels valued and heard at every visit. She shared that her favorite part of specializing in bariatric and weight loss is seeing patients get their life and confidence back after bariatric surgery. “While most people can only see the outward physical changes of bariatric surgery, to me it’s amazing to see the internal changes that happen when a patient no longer has diabetes or high blood pressure due to their weight loss,” Benson said.
