UNC Health Pardee Opens New Pardee BlueMD Practice
UNC Health Pardee is expanding access to primary care with the addition of a new family medicine practice, Pardee BlueMD - 1027 Fleming St. The Hendersonville practice will be staffed by board-certified family medicine physician James Lowery, M.D. and board-certified family nurse practitioner Amy Chandler, FNP-C. The practice is accepting new patients and will open on Nov. 20.
Dr. Lowery has been with Pardee since 2021 and will be relocating from Arden to the Fleming Street location. Dr. Lowery is focused on personalized healthcare for all ages, from children to the elderly. “I enjoy taking care of people and was drawn to family medicine because of the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with patients,” he said. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Lowery loves to cook, watch football and work on home improvement projects.
Amy Chandler approaches patient care by prioritizing overall wellness through promoting lifestyle changes that encourage a healthy diet, exercise and weight management. “My goal is to provide individualized care by partnering with patients to improve health outcomes,” Chandler said. “I strive to create an atmosphere that supports a strong patient-provider relationship while delivering high-quality care. I enjoy empowering patients and their families with knowledge while encouraging them to maintain a balance that promotes optimal health.” When she is not seeing patients, Chandler enjoys running, quilting and spending time with her husband and four children.
Pardee BlueMD - 1027 Fleming St. is a Federally Qualified Health Center, in partnership with Blue Ridge Health and a subrecipient of their FQHC status. The practice will offer primary care medical services to patients of all ages beginning at five years old, including complete physical exams, preventative medical care, treatment and management of chronic diseases, dietary counseling and weight management, and diagnosis and treatment of stress, anxiety, depression and other emotional health conditions.
