UNC Health Pardee Hosts Open House for Prospective Home Health Nurses
UNC Health Pardee invites nurses to an open house and meet and greet with Pardee Home Health. The event is open to prospective applicants as well as the public and will be held at the home health office located at 114 College Drive in Flat Rock on Friday, August 25 from 4-6pm. Light refreshments will be provided as attendees are welcome to tour the home health offices. Pardee will also have representatives available to talk with candidates about open positions.
Not unlike most healthcare organizations across the country, Pardee Home Health has faced shortages across the board but particularly among its nursing staff, since the onset of the pandemic. They seek to fill that gap. “Nurses working in home health make a great impact on patients’ lives as they assist people to be able to safely age in the comfort of their own home.,” said Rachel Forbes-Harvin, RN, Director of Pardee Home Health. “Pardee Home Health supports our clinicians, creating a culture that believes in work-life balance by offering flexibility, autonomy and extensive clinical support.”
UNC Health Pardee is a not-for-profit community healthcare organization and is managed by UNC Health. The hospital, founded in 1953, is licensed for 222 acute care beds. Pardee has several locations separate from the main campus, including a comprehensive physician practice network, a cancer center, four urgent care locations and six orthopedic clinics.
