Certified Medical Assistant Lisa Harris Named Teammate of the Month for UNC Health Pardee

UNC Health Pardee has announced Lisa Harris, a certified medical assistant (CMA), as its Teammate of the Month. As a CMA at the Pardee Pain Center, Harris works closely with patients, escorting them to exam rooms, taking vitals, reviewing medical history and getting them ready for procedures. 

Harris has been with Pardee for more than 30 years, first working at Hendersonville Surgical Associates before the practice joined Pardee’s network. She joined the team at the Pain Center in January 2023 and said she’s stayed with the organization all these years because she loves helping people and has great coworkers. Her colleagues shared that Lisa is a team player at all times, jumping into any situation that needs attention and doing it all with a smile on her face. Those who nominated her said, “Our department looks up to Lisa, feels very confident in her ability and is grateful for how she goes above and beyond to help the team.”

The Teammate of the Month award is given to a Pardee team member who positively contributes to achieving the organization’s mission, vision and goals. This person is selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Teammate of the Month award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.
