Pardee UNC Health Care Opening Urgent Care, Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Clinics in Brevard Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics to provide orthopedic care
Pardee UNC Health Care is expanding access to health care in Transylvania County with opening three new clinics in Brevard. At this new location, Pardee will offer urgent care, physical therapy and orthopedic services staffed by providers with Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a department of Pardee Hospital. The new clinics are located in the former Rite-Aid building at the corner of N.C. 280 and the New Hendersonville Highway in Pisgah Forest. All clinics will begin seeing patients on Wednesday, Sept. 16 after a private ribbon cutting ceremony that morning.
“We are honored to be able to provide additional health care options to the residents of Transylvania County,” said Danny Hein, administrative director, orthopedics and sports medicine for Pardee UNC Health Care. “For the past two years, Pardee has provided certified athletic trainers in support of athletics programming within Transylvania County Public Schools. Opening up these clinics will allow us to expand upon that access and further enhance our overall service to the broader community.”
Pardee Urgent Care – Brevard will offer adult and pediatric medical care for minor care needs, including digital X-ray services for sprains or simple fractures and wound care, including stiches for minor cuts and gashes. Hours for Pardee Urgent Care – Brevard are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday –Sunday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Orthopedic doctors, surgeons and a physiatrist with Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics will staff the orthopedic clinic. This group specializes in adolescent and adult orthopedic and sports medicine. “Our team of surgeons has been caring for the people of Western North Carolina for decades,” said Keith Maxwell, M.D., spine surgeon with SESM. “We are excited to be able to provide our high-level of orthopedic care to the people of Transylvania County.” Hours for Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics are Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Pardee Physical Therapy – Brevard will offer education and individualized physical therapy to treat neck and back pain, joint pain, stroke or neuromuscular disorders, sports injuries or balance problems. Hours for Pardee Physical Therapy – Brevard are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
