Pardee UNC Health Care Hosts Free Spine and Back Pain Virtual Seminar on Tuesday, Dec. 8
Pardee UNC Health Care will host a free virtual seminar on Tuesday, Dec. 8, about the most advanced surgical option to treat chronic back pain, with Dr. John Hicks, a spine surgeon with EmergeOrtho. Pardee now offers a minimally invasive surgery using new, GPS robotic guidance, for patients suffering from chronic back pain and considering surgery. This new technology shortens recovery time, greatly reduces radiation exposure, and provides increased precision and accuracy for the surgeon.
Dr. Hicks is a fellowship-trained and board-certified spine surgeon specializing in the back, neck and spine. During the seminar, Dr. Hicks will explain the benefits of using technology to assist in the operating room. Following the seminar, he will provide a live chat session to answer questions from participants about conditions of the back, spine, and neck that lead to the need for spine surgery.
The virtual seminar begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, followed by a live question and answer session at 6:30 p.m. The seminar is free, but registration is required. To register, visit pardeehospital.org/classes-events. Virtual links to access the seminar will be provided following registration. For more information, call 828-698-7333.
