Pardee UNC Health Care’s Comprehensive Wound Healing Center Recognized with Two National Awards for Excellence

Pardee UNC Health Cares Comprehensive Wound Healing Center has been recognized for the sixth consecutive year with the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award. Pardee has achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days to heal, for a minimum of two consecutive years. The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center was awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. Out of 340 eligible Centers, 268 were honored with this award. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former chief medical officer for Healogics.

The Center also earned the Center of Distinction Award for the seventh consecutive year from Healogics. Pardee achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal. There were 635 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award, but only 427 achieved the honor.

“It is an honor to be recognized for excellence in advanced wound care,” said Charles A. Albers, M.D., FACS, medical director of the Pardee Comprehensive Wound Healing Center. “The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center team is dedicated to helping patients heal as quickly and safely as possible so they can regain their quality of life.
