Pardee UNC Health Care Welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Matthew Massey

Pardee UNC Health Care announced today that Matthew Massey, M.D., a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, has joined Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a department of Pardee Hospital. A foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Massey has cared for athletes of all levels, including professionals in the NFL, NBA and MLB. He has many years of experience treating a variety of foot and ankle conditions, such as arthritis, fractures, sprains and Achilles tendon disorders. He believes in developing a partnership with his patients, ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis, their treatment options and what to expect during recovery.

Dr. Massey earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed a fellowship in knee/sports medicine as well as foot and ankle at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
