Pardee UNC Health Care Provides “An Apple a Day” at the 2018 Apple Festival

Pardee will host “Meet the Docs” sessions and CPR training at Apple Festival 

Pardee UNC Health Care will host “Meet the Doc” sessions at the Pardee tent located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Main Street at the Apple Festival on Friday, Aug. 31 from noon to 6 p.m. Festival-goers are encouraged to stop by the tent to discuss health topics with Pardee providers. 

  • Jennifer McAlister, M.D., FACS, with Pardee Breast Surgery, is the area’s only fellowship-trained breast surgeon. She will answer breast health questions from noon to 2 p.m.
  • Susan McKenney, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, BC-ADM, is a family nurse practitioner with Pardee Internal Medicine Associates. She will answer questions about healthy eating and nutrition from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Lateef Cannon, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Pardee Family Medicine Associates – Hendersonville. He will answer questions about health for the whole family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Pardee also will host Henderson County EMS to instruct hands-on CPR to anyone who would like to learn skills that could save a life. EMS will be present on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon; Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
